Myrtle Grove Road utility project brings closures, restrictions this week

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Utility work will disrupt traffic on Myrtle Grove Road in the coming days, including a one-day closure Saturday and a single-lane restriction Monday through Wednesday.

A water line installation will close Myrtle Grove Road to through traffic between Golden Road and Piner Road on Saturday, July 25, with crews working near 6200 Myrtle Grove Road.

Beginning Monday, July 27, through Wednesday, July 29, sewer line work will reduce Myrtle Grove Road to one lane from Lt. Congleton Road to near Tall Ships Lane, with traffic control and flaggers in place.

Drivers should use alternate routes and expect delays.
