Mostly sunny skies and more seasonable temperatures across southeastern North Carolina today. Highs will move into the mid to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.

There will be a few slight chances for showers early, but as the broad area of low pressure that has caused the unsettled weather of lately moves away from the region - our shower chances become non-existent Thursday and Friday.

A weekend cold front may produce showers for late Saturday into Mother's Day. Cooler air is expected next week.
