Pet of the Week: Unnamed Calico from New Hanover Co. Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A calico cat estimated to be about 6 years old is looking for a permanent home, and a family willing to help her shed a few extra pounds — after being found abandoned in a local hotel.

Shelter workers describe her as naturally timid, though she quickly warms up once comfortable with people.

Prospective adopters can visit the New Hanover County Animal Shelter on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

For more information on the adoption process, call 910-798-7500.
