Wave Transit offering free rides on Election Day

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Voters heading to the polls can catch a free ride through Wave Transit on Election Day.

The public transit agency is waiving all passenger fares across multiple services, including:

• Fixed-route buses
• Seahawk Shuttle
• RideMICRO

Passengers using Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART) can also travel at no cost by informing customer service when scheduling that the trip is to a voting site.

The fare-free service runs Tuesday, Nov. 3. Riders seeking assistance with trip planning or finding their polling location can contact Wave Transit at 910-343-0106.
