Man charged with attempted murder in Bladen County shooting

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A man was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after a woman was found shot on a front porch Wednesday afternoon.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a call around 1 p.m. about a shooting in the 7000 block of NC 242 North. Deputies arrived to find a woman with gunshot wounds lying on the front porch.

The woman was transported to an area hospital, according to BCSO. Her condition was not immediately available.

Bradley Senegal was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted first-degree murder.

BCSO says the investigation remains active and additional charges could be pending.

Officials said there is no community threat as this was an isolated incident. This is a developing story and will be updated as details are made available.
