Columbus County Sheriff’s Office provides special escort for local high school team

WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WECT) - The Whiteville High School Wolfpack is headed into the fifth round of the playoffs on Friday for the Eastern Regional Championship.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office stopped traffic on Friday morning to provide a special escort for the team to the county line.

“We are incredibly proud of these young men and their dedication to excellence both on and off the field. This team represents the heart and spirit of our county. We wish them the best of luck in tonight’s game—bring home the win, Wolfpack!” Sheriff Bill Rogers said.
