Two arrested, accused of breaking into cars and drug possession

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Two people were arrested early Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, following multiple vehicle break-ins at a Volkswagen dealership.
Per the Wilmington Police Department, police responded to a burglary alarm in the 4900 block of New Centre Drive just before 3:45 a.m. and claimed that a man and a woman were breaking into vehicles at the nearby dealership.
The WPD says 34-year-old Anthony Lynn had heroin on him and that 42-year-old Melissa Patel had over five grams of meth.
Lynn is being held without bond on the charges of:
- Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Patel was given a $25,000 secured bond and charged with:
- PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Felony Possession Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle
- Possession Schedule VI Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
