WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – There's nothing like getting a good scare near Halloween. If you're too old for trick or treating but still want to get in the spirit of the holiday, you might get your fix through haunted attractions such as Panic Attack.

Back in Wilmington for its second year, the haunted warehouse lives up to its name. There are several different scary themes and rooms throughout the dark maze, including everything from an insane asylum to a haunted temple to a freak farm.

Over 80 actors are dressed in elaborate costumes and add a giant spook factor to the environment.

Thursday morning, WECT's Carolina in the Morning show got a sneak peek of Panic Attack. Owner Anthony Long was there, and he guided viewers through his creation.

"This year it's bigger than ever, and it's somewhere that your worst fears and nightmares come to life," said Long.

Long recommends this attraction for anyone over 13 who is not the "faint of heart."

Panic Attack is now open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in October from 6 until 11 p.m. Thursdays and from 6 until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Ticket prices:

  • General Admission: $23
  • Fast Pass/VIP Line: $30
  • Military Discount: $17 (with ID)
  • Group Rate: 20 or more people, $17 each
