TRAFFIC ALERT: Cape Fear Memorial Bridge lane closure to delay commute

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Commuters heading into Wilmington should prepare for delays Thursday, Aug. 27, as crew members perform maintenance on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.

The right lane of US 17/US 76/US 421 inbound will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow for bridge deck repairs, according to transportation officials.

Drivers are urged to slow down, remain alert for work crews and plan extra travel time through the area.
