TRAFFIC ALERT: Emergency response causes delays on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - An incident is causing delays for westbound traffic on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge Wednesday night.

Police and emergency medical services are responding to a possible medical emergency on the bridge, according to the bridge tender. The incident happened around 10:20 p.m.

The left lane remains shut down at this time. The bridge tender said all roads are expected to reopen shortly.
