HEALTH FIRST: Heart health care in Southeastern North Carolina

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Caring for your heart should be a top health priority, and local doctors are ensuring the community has the care it needs.

Dr. Peter Kane, a heart surgeon with Novant Health, was in the studio to talk more about heart health care and the national recognition he and his partner, Dr. Marks, recently received for their work.

“It’s a team effort, 100 percent,” Dr. Kane said. “Heart surgery is a team sport...We have a tremendous support staff.”
