Surf City launching ‘Surfin’ the City’ Public Art Sponsorship Program

SURF CITY, N.C. (WECT) - The Town of Surf City’s Beautification and Enhancement Committee is searching for sponsors to get involved with its Surfin’ the City public art program.

According to the town, Surfin’ the City will feature 64-inch surfboards painted by local artists and displayed around the town.

Sponsors will select, commission, and consult an artist to design a board for display, states the town.

The town will also be creating a tourism guide map for visitors to locate the surfboards, along with information about the artists and sponsors involved.
