Pender Co. Sheriff’s Office to train with canines and drones around downtown Burgaw

BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) - Residents should expect to see law enforcement using canines and drones on Tuesday.

The Pender County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Mastering Manhunts training in Burgaw on Feb. 25 where they train how to use canines and drones to locate people.

Locals should expect deputies with canines and drone operators in ‘urban areas’ and not be alarmed when they see increased law enforcement from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. around downtown.
