NEW HANOVER CO., NC (WECT) - A fourth sheriff's deputy has been fired in New Hanover County in as many months.
Authorities with the Sheriff's Office say Deputy Adam Noland was terminated last week for violating the department's standard of conduct.
Noland started with the force in March of 2004 and was assigned to the patrol division. He does have the option to appeal the termination.
Noland is the fourth sheriff's deputy to be fired since March.
Deputy Michael Murray was fired for allegedly not being truthful and for violating the sheriff's office standard of conduct.
Lt. Joey LeBlanc was fired in June for violating procedures on the handling of drugs in the office.
Deputy Victoria McNally Walsh was terminated in March after an internal investigation revealed she violated three sheriff's office policies and procedures.
