More than 37,700 pounds of food headed to NC food bank in America250 effort

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - More than 37,700 pounds of shelf-stable food will be delivered to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina in Wilmington.
The delivery is part of America250’s America Gives initiative with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a nationwide effort to send 250 truckloads of food to all 50 states and provide an estimated 10 million meals.
The truck is scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at the food bank on Greenfield Street.
