Car crashes into home near Independence Boulevard

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Emergency crews in Wilmington are responding to a vehicle that crashed into a house on Tuesday morning.

According to a WECT crew on the scene, the crash happened on Musket Bay Drive and Independence Boulevard in the Woodlands neighborhood.

The homeowner told WECT that a car drove off the road and hit another car in the driveway.

A spokesperson with the Wilmington Police Department said the cause of the crash was a medical emergency.

The crash was temporarily impacting traffic in the 400 block of Independence Boulevard, the WECT crew said.
