The woman then tried to take Haage to the emergency room, but he became belligerent and punched her in the face and left the car. She then drove off and returned home.

The mother told police that Haage got home around midnight and was still belligerent. He allegedly began breaking things in the house before attacking her.

Police allege that Haage put the woman in a choke hold, but she was able to escape and ran to her son’s room.

Haage allegedly pinned her down in front of her son, and the son stabbed Haage in defense of his mother.

Haage was arrested and charged with domestic abuse assault impeding airway.

No charges are expected against the child.
