Bladenboro beast is on the prowl on The History Channel

BLADEN COUNTY -- Wednesday night, viewers around the country are going to meet a beast that had residents of two area counties on edge.

The beast is rumored to be on the prowl in both Brunswick and Bladen Counties.

And now, the beast is on cable TV.

It hasn't been seen in 5 decades, but for three weeks in the 50's, a mysterious animal terrorized the small community of Bladenboro.

Now, The History Channel is bringing the beast of Bladenboro back into the spotlight.

Many residents reported seeing the beast said it lived in a swamp. There were many reports of dead animals being found.

In recent months, a mysterious beast has been reported in Bolivia in Brunswick County, 66.6 miles away from Bladenboro.

Some believe the beast may no longer live in Bladenboro and has moved to Bolivia.

No matter where it lives, residents say they don't mind the beast as long as it stays out of sight, hidden in the depths of the swamp.
