Cape Fear Games to donate 100% of in-store sales to food bank
(WECT) - Cape Fear Games will help support hurricane and flood victims in a big way.
On Oct. 22, Cape Fear games invites you to help them donate 100 percent of the in-store sales to the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina. They will donate up to $5,000.
The board game, disc golf and hobby store is best known for its Free Indoor Play area and Board Game Demo Library. Cape Fear Games is also home to a large Magic the Gathering scene. They hold tournaments throughout the week. Wilmington locals are welcome to join the Wilmington Board Game Group and Wilmington Board Game Meetup Group at Cape Fear Games. They meet every Thursday for a Free Board Game Night from 6-11 p.m. Cape Fear Games also boasts the state's largest selection of disc golf discs and accessories.
The owner of the store, Heath Newton, wanted to help the Food Bank out after Hurricane Matthew devastated Eastern North Carolina. He believes this is a great way to have his business give back to the community in a meaningful way.
