Vehicle runs off road, catches fire on I-40

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Around 7:00 p.m. Saturday, a vehicle traveling east on I-40 ran off the roadway into the woods, where it caught fire, according to New Hanover County dispatchers.
Crews with New Hanover County Fire and NHREMS responded to the scene near exit 420. Dispatchers described the vehicle as being fully engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported and the State Highway Patrol is investigating.
