WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A former standout basketball player from Georgetown is the new head girl's basketball coach at Hoggard High School.
Boubacar Aw will replace Ray Beatty in the position. Aw will also be an assistant football coach.
Aw played from 1994 to 1998 under Head Coach John Thompson at Georgetown. He was the Hoyas' team captain his senior season. He played professionally overseas and participated in the 1998 World Championships in Greece.
Aw has worked in the school systems of Pender and New Hanover Counties as a substitute teacher.
