South Columbus grad makes singing debut on 'The Voice'

TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) – Millions of people will be tuned into NBC this Sunday for the Super Bowl and a lot of people will stick around afterwards for the season premiere of ‘The Voice.'

Nathan Parrett, a 2006 graduate of South Columbus High School, will be on the talent competition show this season, belting out notes in hopes of impressing the judges.

His theater teacher said Parrett moved to LA shortly after high school to pursue the entertainment business. She believes ‘The Voice' is only the beginning for this up and coming star.

Nathan tells us, the blind auditions will last over a span of five episodes and he could be on any of those. Be sure to tune into WECT Sunday night right after the Super Bowl for the season premiere of "The Voice."
