BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Property owned by State Senator Julia Boseman in Winnabow is being foreclosed.

During hearing Thursday morning at the courthouse in Bolivia, it was decided the mobile home in Winnabow would be sold at an auction in December.

Boseman says she's working with the bank to make sure the Castillo family doesn't get evicted.

She said the bank will not foreclose on the property and the deed will be handed over to the Castillo family.  There are no records on file with the clerk confirming that, and until they are sent to the clerk, the auction will be held.

The Castillo's say they've been paying Senator Boseman monthly, and the foreclosure is a shock to them.

Court records show the Castillo's had been making what they thought were mortgage payments since 2005.

Boseman put the home up for collateral to secure a loan, but owes money on that loan.
