One Tree Hill Star Donates Toys
WILMINGTON -- Chad Michael Murray, one of the stars of One Tree Hill, took some time out of his filming schedule to help out some needy kids.
Murray is best known for his role on the TV show One Tree Hill, which is filmed in Wilmington.
Murray purchased over $1,600 worth of toys at Toys "R" Us in Wilmington; the toys filled up the entire back of a Hummer H2 truck.
Murray bought action figures, stuffed animals and various board games.
The will be donated to Toys for Tots and are being taken to the Gold's Gym on Racine Drive where Toys for Tots donation boxes are set-up.
Murray says that there is nothing like seeing the smile on a child's face after they open a gift during the holidays.
"I like doing nice things. I like being there for the children and being there for kids. It just makes me feel better. It really does. I just think it's easy, it's so simple to bring a smile to someone's face," explained Murray.
In addition to Murray's toys, Gold's Gym also decided to donate $1,000 toward new toys.
