WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Fire Department quickly responded to a house fire in the 5400 block of Patricia Drive in Wilmington around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Crews arrived to find smoke and flames showing, but had the fire out within minutes. The first crew arrived on scene at 12:59 a.m. and the fire was extinguished by 1:06 a.m.
According to a spokesperson for the fire department, no one was injured and no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
The home suffered $75,000 in damages.
Investigators are working to find out what started the fire.
