WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - People in shelters only have the few clothes they packed since leaving their homes last week for Hurricane Florence.

Thrive Community Church is helping by donating clothes in the Old Time Pottery parking lot off of Shipyard Boulevard. Shoes and clothes of all sizes were available Sunday.

Thrive calls itself a small clothing boutique just trying to give back.

"The people at the shelter have lost absolutely everything so a lot of them only have one set of clothes on their back since they left their home," Thrive Pastor Nicholas Moss said. "We were able to get Rubbermaid totes for them and they could take totes to take back into the shelter and load up with as many clothes they needed to."

Anyone is welcome to pick out whatever clothing they need, Moss said.
