WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is asking customers to call their emergency hotline if they are experiencing any issues with water service as Hurricane Florence moves through.

Spokesperson Peg Hall Williams said that crews are readying to respond after the storm, but are limited in what they can do while high winds are still moving through the area.

Customers should call (910) 332-6565 to report any outages, major leaks, sewer spills, alarms at pump stations, or any situation relating to water and sewer that endangers life, public health or property.
