WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A throwback to one of the most loved educational shows of the 70s, Schoolhouse Rock Jr. Live! takes the stage at the Ruth & Bucky Stein theatre in Thalian Hall this Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20.
The show is based on the Emmy Award-winning educational animated TV series.
It is directed by LJ Woodard with musical direction from Cathy Street.
The stage show takes the songs from the cartoons to teach grammar, math, science, history, social studies and political science while telling the story of Tom, a young teacher anticipating his first day on the job.
