Whiteville’s Marquasia Smith named WECT Athlete of the Week

WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) - Whiteville High School has hired Jarrett "JP" Price as its new head football coach.

Whiteville Athletic Director David Smith confirmed the hire and Price's first day at Whiteville will be April 30.

From 2009-2016, Price served as the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator for Wallace-Rose Hill. This past season, he held the same position at St. James High School in Murrell's Inlet, SC.

Price replaces Luke Little, who led the Wolfpack to four conference championships in six years.

Price is the son of former Wallace-Rose Hill and South Columbus coach Joey Price and graduated from South Columbus High School in 2004.
