WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Detectives with the Wilmington Police Department are asking for the public's help to identify a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in downtown Wilmington last month.
The incident happened around 10:40 a.m. on March 25 at the intersection of Second and Dock streets.
Police say a gray Jeep Cherokee struck a silver BMW — which had an infant in the back seat — in the rear causing significant damage to the car. The suspect then made a gesture toward the victims before taking off towards Third Street.
Police say the Jeep was a "primer" gray with large tires, tinted windows, and a 30-day tag.
