'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' releases air dates for 3 Wilmington restaurants

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Food Network has announced episode air dates for some of the Wilmington restaurants featured in Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Fieri stopped by the Port City in January to film at Fork N Cork, Copper Penny, Something Fishy, Sweet n Savory Cafe, Ceviche's, and Cast Iron Kitchen.

Season 28 Episode 7 titled Lights-Out Latin will air on Friday, March 30 at 9 p.m. The episode will showcase restaurants focusing on Latin specialties including Ceviche's. Fieri will visit restaurants in Miami, Tucson, Ariz., and a restaurant in Wilmington described as "a funky joint cooking up the flavors of Panama."

Season 28 Episode 8 titled Pizza, Pork and Peru will air on Friday, April 6 at 9 p.m. This episode will likely feature Copper Penny. The episode description says Fieri will visit a Wilmington restaurant that offers "standout sandwiches (which) bring a taste of Philly to the South." Fieri will also visit a pizza joint in Lansing, Mich., and a Tucson restaurant offering Peruvian specialties.

Season 28 Episode 9 titled Seafood and Savory will air on Friday, April 27 at 9 p.m. This episode will feature Fieri grabbing some "off-the-hook seafood and savory sensations." In the episode description, Fieri travels to a Wilmington restaurant, likely Something Fishy, that is a "down-home Southern seafood spot cooking up clam chowder and frying up favorites."

It's unclear when the other three Wilmington restaurants — Sweet n Savory Cafe, Cast Iron Kitchen, and Fork N Cork — will be featured on Triple D.
