Crews put out pump house fire, vehicle fire in Pender Co.

ROCKY POINT, NC (WECT) - Crews worked to put out a fire at a pump house in Rocky Point Sunday morning.

The fire started in the pump house at 403 Robinson-Johnson Road.

According Pender County Fire Marshal, Michael Carlisle, the fire extended to a vehicle that was parked next to the pump house.

Carlisle said the residence itself was not involved in the fire.

Pender EMS & Fire and Rocky Point VFD responded to the incident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
