WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - New Hanover County Sheriff's detectives arrested Aaron Christopher Stephens on Wednesday afternoon for the shooting death of Terry Dale Greenwood.

Greenwood, 39, died after being shot in the Monkey Junction area early Wednesday morning.

The shooting took place at around 1 a.m on Julia Drive, which runs next to the Goodwill Store on Carolina Beach Road.

Deputies found Greenwood deceased, and another victim, 35-year-old Anthony Paul Lanza, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Upon further investigation deputies located Stephens, 42, who was also involved in the altercation.

Detectives charged Stephens with second-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon. Stephens is in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under no bond.

Authorities did not give details about what caused the altercation.
