CASE DISMISSED: Woman charged with pulling gun out over chicken wings cleared

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The case of a woman accused of pulling out a gun after getting a wrong order of chicken wings has been dismissed.

Clarissa Gagum, 24, was arrested outside FU Wangz on Carolina Beach Road April 29.

The owner of FU Wangz said Gagum wanted boneless wings but instead got bone-in. He claimed she threw the carton of wings onto the floor, then left and came back with a gun.

When police got to FU Wangz, they said Clarissa Gagum was outside still holding the gun. She was charged with assault by pointing a gun and injury to personal property.

Gagum's charges were dismissed Monday in court.

Gagum told WECT Monday that she and the owner of the restaurant had resolved their differences months ago. She said the owner of FU Wangz posted on her Facebook page in May that he wished her no harm.

Here's part of what she says he posted on her page:

"We are cool. I don't wish anything bad on you, your husband or your family. It was no harm done to anyone. No guns pointed at anyone..."

FU Wangz was closed Monday and the owner could not be reached for comment.

Gagum says she's just relieved it's over.

"Thanks for my supporters and my church family," Gagum said. "On to a new level."
