WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - It's an art exhibit that visitors can interact with and it's all being held at Acme Art Studios.
Kristen Crouch, local artist, organized a group exhibit called OMNI: An Interactive Art Experience that allows the audience to visit emotional and psychological depths to cleanse through action and reflection as they travel through the space.
The exhibit opens at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 24 when Acme Art Studios will be transformed through performance art pieces, video and sculpture installation, interactive art and even the food being served.
"This is an interactive art experience, that is what we are calling it, we have performance artists, interactive pieces, installation and also some 2D and written work. The show is called Omni, which is a root word meaning all, and the show has really come to encompass that. We have a wide variety of artists involved from high school graduates to career artists. Over 20 people will be involved," Crouch stated. "Omni is about love and finding unity as a human race, and letting go of things that hold people back from growth."
Crouch attended Savannah School of Art and Design and opened up a studio at Acme Art Studios shortly after.
If you would like to visit the exhibit you are asked to enter through the 4th Street entrance, behind Goat & Compass, to fully experience the exhibit.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
