UNCW's CAS to showcase programs

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The public will get a chance to see what the UNCW's College of Arts and Sciences has to offer when the department hosts its inaugural CAS Open House on Saturday, April 16.

The showcase is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Chancellor's Walk and is free and open to the public.

The event will feature a marine animal touch tank, a fossil sifting exhibit, musical performances and more.

"We want to showcase the college to the larger community," said Aswani Volety, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "Our faculty and staff are excellent scholars and teachers who provide vibrant experiences to our students. Their contributions to the community have a significant impact on Wilmington and the region."
