FORT FISHER, NC (WECT) - A car with ammunition in the back caught fire Saturday afternoon.

The Ford Explorer was at the Fort Fisher State Recreation area around 4:40 p.m. when it caught fire.

According to park ranger Patrick Amico, there was hundreds of ammunition rounds in the back.

The fire is believed to have started due to the car overheating.

No injuries were reported.
