Residential fire in Surf City ruled accidental

SURF CITY, NC (WECT) - A fire that happened Saturday afternoon in Surf City has been ruled accidental.
The call came in at 5:15 p.m. of a residential structure fire at 305 N. Shore Drive, according to Pender County Fire Marshal Tommy Batson.
Emergency crews from Surf City, Topsail Beach and N. Topsail Beach responded along with Pender County EMS and Pender County Fire Marshal.
The fire was put out and crews left the scene at 7:25 p.m.
One person went to the hospital in their own vehicle; no serious injuries have been reported.
The damage was estimated to be approximately $50,000.
