EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Drug agents search Powerball winner's home
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - WECT was on scene as drug agents searched the home of Marie Holmes, Brunswick County's $188 million Powerball winner, who was charged with drug possession at her home Thursday night.
A WECT reporter has been working on a series of stories with drug agents in Brunswick County when this incident took place.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's office, agents responded to the home to arrest Larmarr McDow for missing his curfew, which violated his pretrial release agreement related to a drug arrest. Authorities smelled marijuana at the home, and worked to obtain a search warrant.
Holmes and others stayed on the porch of the home on Boverie Street while agents secured and executed the search warrant.
Holmes along with two others in the home were cited for having less than a half ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
