Viewer video: Shark chasing stingray at Kure Beach

KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) - A visitor to Kure Beach recorded video Friday evening of what appears to be a shark chasing a stingray near the shore.
Megan Kindley of Concord said this happened in the same area that a dolphin washed ashore earlier in the day who had been bitten by a shark.
Kindley said the shark was seen around 5 p.m. Friday attacking a stingray within 15 feet of the shore.
The dolphin who washed ashore earlier Friday died from its injuries. The animal was taken to a lab at UNCW where a necropsy is scheduled for Friday.
