WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - According to owners of the restaurant Catch Wilmington, their food truck is being requested by actors and crew members for a movie filming in Georgia.
The celebrity chef, Keith Rhodes and his food truck will be traveling to Atlanta for the filming of 'Michelle Darnell.'
"A couple of weeks ago, we received a phone call from some of the production team that worked with 'Tammy' here when they were shooting in Wilmington," explained Rhodes.
"They're getting read to set up down in Atlanta, Georgia and they wanted us to come down and provide some food for them."
With such a big hub like Atlanta, you'd think the crew would simple hire a different, more local food truck. Nope!
"We did a good job for them when they were in town," Rhodes added.
"We really gave it our all. I mean, sometimes we were out on set at three in the morning."
Actors like Melissa McCarthy specifically asked for Catch, which means their food truck will be putting on a lot more miles in the near future.
The original Facebook post announcing the news states:
"Even though business and filming has moved elsewhere, I think a lot of the relationships if they're really strong that they made here will benefit as well," commented Rhodes.
"I was like 'Are you serious? You really want us to come down from Wilmington down there?' You know, for us we were like ultra flattered, so we were like 'Yeah! If we have the date open, we'll be right there and do what we always do.'"
Rhodes says they look forward to many more trips to Atlanta and continue doing what he loves.
Rhodes and his family will travel to Atlanta on Thursday, April 16 after a food truck event at ILM Airport.
No information has been confirmed on when the movie will be filmed or released.
