Rouzer named Chairman of the Livestock and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Congressman-elect David Rouzer was selected to serve as the Chairman of the Livestock and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee for the 114th Congress.
The subcommittee has jurisdiction over policies, statutes, and markets relating to all livestock, poultry, dairy and seafood. It also oversees the inspection, marketing and promotion of livestock and agricultural commodities.
"I'm truly humbled to be granted this opportunity right out of the gate. The livestock, meat, dairy and seafood industries are vital to North Carolina's economy, the future of American agriculture, and are critical to maintaining an abundant, nutritious, and safe food supply," said Rouzer.
Congressman-elect Rouzer will also serve on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee.
