LELAND, NC (WECT) - A Leland woman plans to pay offer her mortgage after winning the top prize of $150,000 in the North Carolina Education Lottery's Golden 7's game.

“I've always wanted to know the relief of paying off my house and now I can do just that,” Beverly Hall said. “I'm going to use whatever is left over to make it a very merry Christmas. This is a real blessing.”

Hall, the owner and operator of a residential and commercial cleaning company, purchased the winning scratch-off ticket at the Han-Dee Hugo on Eastwood Road in Wilmington.

"I thought I'd won my five dollars back," Hall said. "When I scratched off the prize I just started screaming and hollering."

After taxes, Hall will pocket nearly $104,000.

Lottery officials say that four more of the top prizes remain in the Golden 7's game.
