COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The suspect of a deadly shooting in Whiteville turned himself into authorities Wednesday afternoon.

Ramik Graham, of Chadbourn, has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of James Lamont Frink.

Frink was shot multiple ties in the chest and legs Sept. 19, according to Columbus County Assistant Coroner William Hannah.

Whiteville Police Chief Jeff Rosier originally said that authorities have "no leads" in the deadly shooting.

Sgt. Worley with the Whiteville Police Department said officers got a call of shots fired at the Sandy Ridge Apartments on Nolan Avenue. When officers got to the scene, they found Frink lying on the ground outside of an apartment building.

Frink was taken by ambulance to Columbus Regional Healthcare System, where he was pronounced dead.
