Two brothers killed in motorcycle crash, Bladen Co. man charged with deaths

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Two brothers riding their motorcycles in Bladen County were killed when an SUV pulled out in front of them on Highway 53 Thursday afternoon.

Trooper Sellers with the NC Highway Patrol said 20-year-old Dequron Lloyd ran a stop sign at the intersection of Pearl Lloyd Road and NC 53 in White Oak. The incident caused Eddie and Hector Santiago to crash into the side of Lloyd's SUV.

Eddie Santiago, 62, of Fayetteville, NC, died at the scene around 12:30 p.m. His brother, Hector Santiago, 57, also of Fayetteville, NC, died at a hospital a few hours later.

Lloyd has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
