Police respond to alarm at Williston Middle, arrest two suspects who drove off

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Authorities arrested two people who drove off after police responded to an alarm at Williston Middle School early Friday morning.

Police pulled over the vehicle in the 900 block of Castle Street for having expired tags and conducted a probable cause search because of suspected drug activity.

Officers arrested Lasha Ross for carrying a concealed weapons after police found a pistol under the driver's seat. The passenger, Kerry Burgess, was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
