Officers respond to several breaking, entering calls

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officers with the Wilmington Police Department responded to several breaking and entering calls Thursday.

According to the WPD, officers were called to the 200 block of Clay St. around 2 p.m. Officials say the suspect made entry through the rear window and took several electronic items.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm on Barnard Dr. around 10 a.m. Officers say the rear window had an air conditioning unit removed. The suspect took off after the alarm sounded, but was not able to get away with the air conditioning unit.

Officers responded to a breaking and entering call in the 2000 block of Chestnut St. around 10:30 p.m. Police say two computers tablets and a television was taken.

Police received another call from the 2000 block of Chestnut St. Police say the suspect entered an unlocked storage shed and took a lawnmower.
