NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man has been charged in the crash involving multiple cars on Market Street Saturday morning.

Shane Dubuskey was charged with DWI and reckless driving. He was booked into jail Monday after being released from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Lt. Mary Green with Wilmington Police said Dubuskey was traveling northbound on Market Street towards Gordon Road at high speeds when he struck the rear of another car causing both vehicles to lose control.

According to Green, both Dubuskey and the passenger in his Mustang suffered serious injuries. Several other people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
