WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - People were able to enjoy a few cold ones in Wilmington on Saturday, all while helping a good cause.
The 10th annual Lighthouse Beer Festival was held off of Randall Drive. A portion of the proceeds benefitted the Carousel Center, an organization that helps out children who have been physically and sexually abused.
Festival goers could sample more than 300 varieties of beer from over 90 breweries.
This year marks the first that the festival was held at its Randall location.
"I think we've outgrown other venues a little bit…this gives us plenty of ample space for people…a little elbow room for them to spread out," said Jason Adams, Lighthouse Beer and Wine owner.
Organizers said they expected thousands to show up to the event.
Free cab rides were provided for anyone in attendance.
