ONSLOW CO., NC (WECT) - A former assistant soccer coach at Ashley High School in Wilmington is charged with more sex crimes against a student and player.

Brian Reardon, 24, turned himself into the Onslow County Sheriff's Office Thursday.  He's accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student and soccer player at the time he was employed at Ashley High School.

New Hanover County sheriff's deputies had previously arrested Reardon in May due to offenses committed in Wilmington when deputies say Reardon's relationship with the student was found to be more than coach/player.

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office then began investigating after allegations that Reardon had a sexual relationship with the girl at her family member's home in the Richlands area.  Deputies say the investigation revealed that Reardon traveled to that home on two separate occasions to meet and have sex with the student.

Reardon faces the following charges in Onslow County:

  • Two Counts:  Sexual offense with a student
  • Two Counts:  Indecent liberties with a student
  • Two Counts:  Crime against nature
  • Two Counts:  Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

He first appearance in court Friday, June 25, where his case was continued until July 15.
